Prolific film-maker J. P. Dutta's daughter, Nidhi Dutta is hard at work. She is gearing up to make her debut in Bollywood and for this, Nidhi has lost a whopping 26 kilos and needless to say she looks stunning.

Nidhi will be making her debut with her father's film which will be directed by Binoy Gandhi. The actress says that shedding the pounds was not easy for her but she decided to take up the challenge after her father called her 'very fat' for the role.

It took the help of trainer Yasmin Karachiwala, six months and a strict diet of salads to reach this weight. But Nidhi says she still has six more kilos to lose before she reaches her ideal weight. Her incentive is not only the lead role but also because she will be shooting a promotional song for the movie that requires her to be very fit.

We hear that Nidhi bagged this role purely by chance. She was sitting on a meeting between her father and director Binoy Gandhi when she decided to read the script. When she started reading out the lines is when both her father and Gandhi suggested that she should take up the lead role. Here's one more starlet who is going to begin her journey in B-Town and so far, we think she's definitely on the right track!
