Swastika Mukherjee, who is making her Bollywood debut with the Dibakar Banerjee's sleuth drama, said only she and the director knew about the scene during the shoot.
"Sushant was not aware of the kissing scene in the film.
Dibakar had an overall discussion about it with me because there was a possibility of something like that in the scene.
"Dibakar seriously did not want Sushant to know about it.
He was like if it happens then let it happen and obviously Sushant will be taken aback but that's important. He (Sushant) was like really in shock and flabbergasted about what the hell just happened. Then we had our lines and I could see that surprise that dilemma on face he was completely stiff and stoned," Swastika Mukherjee said.
The 34-year-old actress, however, feels Sushant's shock and confusion worked in the favour of the scene.
Laughing off the incident, Swastika Mukherjee said the 'Kai Po Che' star did not question her on the scene during the shoot but his body language gave away that he was bothered.
"During the shoot he did not speak to me about the kiss but I knew something was bothering him. Then later on when I finished with the takes, I told Dibakar, 'please tell him this was there in our discussion because otherwise he is going think what an actress is this, does not inform her co-star and kiss him'," she shared.
When asked if the scene was awkward for her, the actress said, "The responsibility was on my shoulder... Because people think only men take the initiative and here I was taking responsibility and also thinking that I am going to bear the brunt of it but I did."
