"It was really exciting when I first heard the news. It is something which will be there forever," Katrina, who spent her childhood in London, said here on Monday at the red carpet of Femina Women Awards.
"I have grown up in London for a few years, so it brings back lot of nice memories. I would be launching it on March 27 in London at the main Madame Tussauds and I am really looking forward to it," she added.
Before Katrina, Bollywood celebrities like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar have their wax statues at Madame Tussauds.
The 31-year-old British-indian actress is over the moon about her wax statue being unveiled and calls it a special moment for her family and added: "Everyone always wants to be acknowledged for his work in whatever way possible."
Meanwhile, it is being said that superstar Salman Khan, who is close to Katrina and Ranbir Kapoor, will fly off to London with his entire family to support the actress.
