Last Friday's releases 'Hunterrr' and 'Dilliwaali Zaalim Girlfriend' have made an unimpressive start at the box office. In their opening weekend, the former collected Rs 5 crore while the latter managed to rake in just about Rs 2 crore.
Exhibitor Rajesh Thadani says, "Both the films performed well below expectation though there was a slight improvement in their collection during the weekend. But with zero word-of-mouth publicity, their business is unlikely to grow this week."
Trade analyst Amod Mehra says the audience seemed to have shunned Hunterrr. "As the film is made on a small budget, the losses too will be little."
Exhibitors are concerned as the box office business continues to drop and the figures are worse than last year. Vishal Anand of Fun Cinemas says, "'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' and 'NH10' were a saving grace, but that is also not enough for us to sail through. Last Friday's releases did not work in our favour."
