Apparently, Salman Khan's driver, Ashok today, confessed in front of the Mumbai Court, that he was behind the wheels at the time of accident and not Salman Khan. The driver also presented his side of the story in front of the court. He stated, the car accident occurred suddenly at a junction as the car's tyre burst.
The driver also denied taking any bribe from the defendants side, for making this statement.
Salman Khan, had earlier appealed to the Mumbai Session Court to take his statement under Section 313 of CrPC, that the case registered against him is is not valid and is a false case.
He had earlier also stated that his driver was the person behind the wheels at the time of accident, and when Salman brought in his driver, for the statement, the Police did not take down his statement.
Moving further, Salman Khan provided counter to the prosecution’s claims, he said that he did move out of the car from the driver's seat, as the door was jammed up from his side. Also the parking assistant of JW Marriott , who had earlier testified of handing over the keys to the superstar, was not present in the Court.
Lastly, Salman also claimed that chemical analyzer Bala Shankar, who tested Salman's blood samples at the crime scene, is not an expert and is not even, well aware of the procedure.
