Karan Johar, who has been part of celeb-based dance show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' for three seasons, is unlikely to join fellow judges Madhuri Dixit and Remo D'Souza for the show's upcoming season.
A source says, "Initially, the plan was to bring in a fourth judge on the panel. The makers were in talks with a few celebrities and Shilpa Shetty had agreed to come on board. However, Karan has now opted out due to work commitments. So, the show will have three judges like before."
It is said that Karan, who is currently judging India's Got Talent's sixth season is going to start shooting for a film within the next two months. The source adds, "Last year, Karan gave a break to Jhalak contestant Siddharth Shukla in 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya'. His next venture also features Siddharth and is expected to go on floors around June, but that is around the same time that the show kick starts. He will be busy with outdoor shoots and therefore, won't be able to give time to the show."
Karan and the channel spokesperson remained unavailable for comment.
