Priyadarshan is in Mumbai again this week. But not for the promotion of Malaamal Weekly.
"I'm happy with the way Malaamal Weekly has opened. I'm not bothered by unflattering reviews. My
films have never been given good reviews in Mumbai. I'd get seriously worried about my films the day
they're reviewed favourably."
But right now, Priyan is taken up with something else. He's shooting an ad supporting the consumption
of chicken with Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty and Fardeen Khan. "This bird flu scare has really hit the
poultry business...and so unnecessarily.
Like me Sanju, Suniel and Fardeen believe chicken
well-cooked is harm-free. So I'm shooting an ad with them. I believe chicken is the only source of real
protein for the common man. This futile fear of chicken has to be driven away. I hope the ad
helps."
While in Mumbai Priyan will also be shooting two songs with Govinda and Akshay Kumar for his next
feature film Bhaagam-Bhag. "And then we leave to shoot in London for the film."
Priyan isn't the least worried about Malaamal Weekly. "So far none of my comedies has failed. Apart
from Mumbai it has opened well everywhere."
