Sonali Bendre is said to be meeting Marathi directors to produce a film in her mother tongue

Over a decade ago, Sonali Bendre was seen in Amol Palekar's Marathi film, 'Anahat' (2003) and then in a blockbuster item number 'Chham chham karta hai' from 'Aga Bai Arrecha' (2004).

Now we hear, she is set to turn producer with a Marathi film. A source says, `Sonali has always been open to work in Marathi cinema and is now keen to be involved in production work.

So, she has been meeting some filmmakers, including Chandrakant Kulkarni, who made the National Award-winning film, Aajcha Divas Majha.`

Since the Marathi industry is doing very well now, it is attracting big names towards filmmaking, says a source, adding: `Sonali's discussions with filmmakers are at an early stage.`
