Here is everything you need to know about the trailer that has the internet divided.
The Trailer: "Kabir Singh Meets Gangs of Wasseypur" 🩸
The 3-minute trailer introduces us to Haseen Ustara (Shahid Kapoor), a tattoo-covered, eccentric gangster who rules the Mumbai underbelly.
The Plot: A mysterious woman, Afsha (Triptii Dimri), approaches Ustara with a "supari" (contract) to kill a rival don. What starts as a business deal turns into a toxic, passionate romance.
The Dialogue: Shahid delivers the trailer's punchiest line: "Ustara se panga nahi lene ka… shareer se aatma katke le jaata hai" (Don't mess with Ustara... he slices the soul right out of the body).
The Violence: It is heavy on gore. From slashing throats to gunfights in local trains, Bhardwaj is leaning hard into the "violent romance" genre popularised recently by Animal.
The Event Drama: Nana Patekar Walks Out! 😡
The on-ground event did happen, but it wasn't smooth sailing.
The Incident: Veteran actor Nana Patekar, who plays a cop in the film, reportedly walked out of the launch event before it even began.
The Reason: Reports suggest he was furious after being made to wait for over an hour for the lead stars (Shahid and Triptii) to arrive.
Vishal's Defense: Director Vishal Bhardwaj tried to downplay the incident on stage, joking that Nana is like "that naughty kid in class who bullies everyone but is still loved."
The Cast & Crew
Villain: Avinash Tiwary (looking menacing in a matador outfit) is the main antagonist.
Surprise Package: Farida Jalal is seen cursing and firing guns, a total departure from her "sweet dadi" image!
Item Number: Disha Patani lights up the screen in a special dance number.
Release Date: February 13, 2026 (Valentine's Weekend).
SantaBanta Verdict: The trailer is visually stunning but undeniably polarizing. While Shahid's performance looks electric, some fans are calling it a "wannabe Animal." One thing is for sure: The chemistry between Shahid and Triptii is explosive.
