Amitabh Bachchan Breaks Down on KBC Remembering Dharmendra: Reveals the Secret Behind 'Sholay' Death Scene!
If you watched Kaun Banega Crorepati last night without a box of tissues, you made a huge mistake.

The usually composed Shahenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, could not hold back his tears as he paid a heartbreaking tribute to his "partner in crime," the late Dharmendra, on the sets of KBC 17.

With the cast of Dharmendra’s final film, Ikkis (Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sriram Raghavan), present on the hot seat, the episode turned into a celebration of the "He-Man's" legacy. But it was Big B’s trembling voice that broke a billion hearts.

"He Was Not Just a Person, He Was a Feeling"

The silence on the set was deafening as Amitabh spoke about the loss of his dearest friend, who passed away in November 2025.

"Mr. Dharam was not just a person. He was a feeling, and a feeling never lets you go. It becomes a memory, a blessing that keeps you going."

He further added, "An artist wants to practice art till the last breath of his life, and this is exactly what my friend, my family, and my idol, Mr. Dharmendra Deol, did."

The Secret Behind Jai's Death Scene

In a moment that brought a teary smile to everyone’s face, Amitabh shared a never-before-heard anecdote from the sets of Sholay. He revealed that his "natural acting" during Jai’s iconic death scene wasn't just acting—it was actual pain! "He had what I call a physical quality—he was a wrestler, a hero," Big B recalled. "In the death scene, the agony you saw on screen was real because of the way he held me so tightly that the pain turned into natural acting!" (Only Dharam Paaji could hug you so hard it makes cinematic history!)

Agastya's Silent Tear

While his grandfather spoke, Agastya Nanda (who stars in Ikkis) was seen wiping away silent tears. The film, which released yesterday (Jan 1), features Agastya alongside Dharmendra in his final on-screen role. Director Sriram Raghavan added, "I am very blessed that he is working in my last film... and that his last film is something he is extraordinarily good at."

Verdict

Jai has officially said goodbye to Veeru, and honestly? We aren't ready to let go either. Catch Ikkis in theaters now to witness the legend one last time.
