Megastar Amitabh Bachchan made a surprising yet inspiring revelation that he recently completed a gruelling 24-hour work shift for the upcoming season of his quiz reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati.

The actor jokingly said that missing the schedule could have meant “job replacement” for him.

Writing on his regular blog, the 83-year-old cinema icon shared that he worked continuously from 7 a.m. on Day 1 until 7 a.m. on Day 2. He emphasised that the assignment was so important that it could not be postponed.

He wrote, “Ahhhh… caught time just in time… finished work at 7 this morning… which had started at 7 yesterday morning… but its presentation and completion on time was essential… so got it done…”

The veteran actor said he felt relieved after completing the work and reconnecting with his daily blogging routine. He wrote: “But the greater relief is that I was able to get back to the blog and EF… now I am retiring, will put a little food in my stomach… rest my head on the pillow… because tomorrow, August 6, there is another early call…”

Amitabh Bachchan also shared that the premiere date of the popular quiz show has now been announced, adding that he could not afford to risk missing work.

“The first broadcast date of Kaun Banega Crorepati has been announced… and missing it could be a reason for job replacement for me. So now I am going to do what is necessary.”

Even at the age of 83, Amitabh Bachchan continues to maintain a demanding work schedule. Kaun Banega Crorepati is set to return with its 18th season soon.

Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 18 will premiere on Monday, August 10 at 9:00 PM, exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV. The show will subsequently air from Monday to Friday. The new season is based on the theme ‘Sochna Padega’ (You Will Have to Think).
