An electrifying evening of drag artistry, theatrical performance, and high-energy lip-sync battles unfolded at the Crystal Ballroom of The LaLiT New Delhi as Battle Royale – The Halftime Show returned with its second edition.
Conceptualised as a celebration of drag performance and queer expression, the event brought together some of India’s dynamic drag talents for a vibrant showcase of individuality, creativity, and stage presence. Following the success of its debut edition in August 2025, the platform once again highlighted the growing visibility and cultural significance of drag artistry in India.
The evening opened with a powerful performance by Rani KoHeNur, setting the tone for the night’s spectacle. The much-awaited lip-sync battle featured four fierce contenders — Seventeen Sins, Cologne Doll, Jia Labega, and Sickk — each bringing their own unique persona, storytelling, and performance style to the stage as they competed for the crown.
Returning as host for the second edition, Betta Naan Stop kept the energy high, guiding audiences through the performances and dramatic showdowns that defined the night. Adding to the celebration, Valentina and Diva Sins, who were part of the inaugural edition, also returned with special showcase performances.
The performances were evaluated by a panel of judges led by Zeesh, along with two additional jury members who assessed the contestants on creativity, stage presence, and overall performance impact.
The final round witnessed an intense face-off between Cologne Doll and Seventeen Sins, delivering a thrilling showdown that captivated the audience. Seventeen Sins emerged as the winner of the night, claiming the coveted title. The crowning moment was made even more special as it was presented by Rani KoHeNur.
Speaking about the initiative, Akshay Tyagi, Founder Member of the Keshav Suri Foundation and DGM – DEI and Talent Management at The LaLiT Suri Hospitality Group, said,
“Battle Royale is more than a performance platform. It is a celebration of queer creativity and artistic freedom. Drag performers bring powerful storytelling to the stage, and initiatives like this help create spaces where such talent can be seen, supported, and celebrated.”
With theatrical spectacle, bold artistry, and an enthusiastic audience, Battle Royale – The Halftime Show once again reaffirmed its place as a distinctive platform spotlighting India’s evolving drag culture.
