Following an explosive domestic run that crossed ₹61 Crore Net (~₹73 Cr Gross) on an initial production budget of just ₹2 Crore, leading production and distribution banner Hombale Films (KGF, Kantara, Salaar) announced that it has acquired the film's worldwide distribution rights through its overseas wing, Hombale Overseas. The film will release across international markets on Friday, September 11, 2026.
Hombale Films' Official Global Announcement
Announcing the global theatrical release across its social media handles, Hombale Films shared:
“A story rooted in faith. A journey beyond borders. We, @hombalefilms, are proud to take #HanumanAnsh to international audiences through @HombaleOverseas. The spiritual journey of Maharaj-ji reaches the world, as @hanumanansh arrives worldwide on September 11, 2026.”
The move marks another major push by Hombale to scale grassroots Indian cinema globally, following their historic pan-India and overseas handling of Rishab Shetty's Kantara in 2022.
The Global Pull: The Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg & Julia Roberts Connection The international release comes with strong cultural resonance abroad. Neem Karoli Baba, revered by devotees as an incarnation of Lord Hanuman, gained a massive global following after Western seekers traveled to his Kainchi Dham ashram in Uttarakhand during the 1960s and 1970s:
Silicon Valley Ties: Apple co-founder Steve Jobs traveled to India in 1974 seeking spiritual guidance and visited Kainchi Dham. Decades later, during a vulnerable period in the company's early years, Jobs advised Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to visit the same ashram to reconnect with his vision.
Hollywood Figures: Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts has openly credited pictures and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba with transforming her spiritual outlook and drawing her to Hinduism.
Cultural Foothold: With figures like Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma frequently making pilgrimages to Kainchi Dham in recent years, the overseas diaspora and spiritual communities have created immediate pre-release demand across North America and the UK.
