Announced in April 2026, the third installment is being directed by Bhav Dhulia (Khakee: The Bihar Chapter) and is currently filming its first schedule.
Training "In the Middle of Nowhere"
On Friday, May 8, 2026, Harshvardhan Rane shared a glimpse of his grueling fitness routine directly from the film's outdoor shoot location.
The Logistical Challenge: Rane revealed that because the shooting location is over five hours away from Mumbai, he requested his trainer, Rohit Tyson, to join him on-site.
The Formula: Channeling his inner geek, Rane captioned his workout reel with $F = m \times a$ (Newton’s Second Law of Motion: Force = mass × acceleration). He explained that he is using the physics of "brute force" to prepare for the film's intense, hardcore action sequences.
The Routine: His "middle of nowhere" workout includes band-based tricep work, heavy bench lifting for back and muscularity, and high-intensity shoulder shrugs—all performed outside his caravan to soak up "Vitamin D from the sun and Vitamin F from Force 3."
The New Trio: John, Harshvardhan, and Tanya
While John Abraham is producing the film under JA Entertainment, he is also focused on introducing a new generation of action talent:
John Abraham: Returns as the "unstoppable" ACP Yashvardhan. John has praised Rane’s "hunger and energy," stating that Force 3 aims to take the franchise’s "grit" to a much larger scale.
Harshvardhan Rane: Making his debut in the franchise, Rane’s character is still under wraps, but his training suggests a role that matches John’s "brute force" persona.
Tanya Maniktala: Known for A Suitable Boy, Tanya joins as the female lead, promising to bring a fresh dynamic to the traditionally male-dominated action saga.
Legacy of the "Force"
The franchise, which began in 2011 with the late Nishikant Kamat and featured Vidyut Jammwal as one of Bollywood's most memorable antagonists, has always stood for "grounded, realistic action." For director Bhav Dhulia, who worked as an AD on the first film, Force 3 is a full-circle moment. The makers have promised that while the scale is bigger, the "identity" of the franchise remains rooted in raw, physical combat rather than just CGI spectacle.
SantaBanta Verdict:
Harshvardhan Rane’s dedication to training "in the middle of nowhere" shows that the Force legacy is in capable hands. By literally applying the laws of physics to his fitness, Rane is signaling that Force 3 will be as much about "mass and acceleration" as it is about drama. With a 2027 release date locked in, the "storm" is officially brewing.
