Inspired by the idea of a love written in the stars, The Celestial Nights draws from constellations, moonlight, eclipses, nebulae and meteor showers, translating these celestial elements into contemporary wedding couture. Rooted in intricate artistry and modern tailoring, the collection marks a more experimental direction within Bride & Groom ’26, moving beyond conventional occasion silhouettes to explore new proportions, layering and styling.
For women, sculpted corsets, asymmetric blouses, contemporary lehengas, embellished drapes, fluid skirts, dramatic capes and ethereal veils offer a more experimental take on occasion dressing. The menswear edit brings sharply tailored suits, double-breasted jackets, structured overlays, deep sculpted necklines and fluid trousers into focus, creating a modern evening wardrobe for wedding celebrations.
The collection’s colour palette moves through deep sapphire, cosmic blue, midnight black, gunmetal, luminous silver and moonlit ivory, with crystal trails, pearl-like embellishments, starbursts and constellation-inspired embroidery adding a celestial finish, while deep sapphire velvet, sheer structured fabrics, metallic surfaces and fluid layers bring depth and movement. Personalisation is another defining element, with KALKI’s celestial veils customisable with wedding dates, initials, vows, sacred names, shlokas, meaningful symbols or even the constellation visible on a significant night, transforming the bridal veil into a personal keepsake.
On Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor, the collection’s idea of togetherness comes through without relying on coordinated dressing. Their looks speak to each other through shared celestial elements, tonal palettes, textures and intricate detailing, while retaining distinct silhouettes and identities. The campaign presents a modern wedding couple whose styles are connected by a shared aesthetic language rather than matching looks.
Speaking about the collection, Founder Saurabh Gupta said, “Indian weddings have always looked to the stars, from kundalis and auspicious timings to the belief that two destinies are cosmically aligned. With The Celestial Nights, we reimagined this tradition through contemporary couture, translating constellations, celestial motifs and personal details into looks that feel modern yet deeply rooted. It is a celebration of love that is not only written in the stars, but woven into every detail.”
With The Celestial Nights, KALKI Bride & Groom ’26 expands its wedding wardrobe into a more contemporary evening space, bringing together expressive silhouettes, celestial detailing and personalised elements for sangeets and after-hours celebrations. The collection will come alive across KALKI’s stores and digital platforms, extending the campaign through social-led storytelling and giving audiences a closer look at the collection, its craftsmanship and the different moods of celebration it is designed for.
