The "Holiday" Reveal: Shahid’s Viral AMA
The news came straight from the horse's mouth during a recent "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) session on Instagram. When an eager fan asked, "What’s after Cocktail 2 and Farzi 2?", Shahid didn’t mince words. He replied with an enthusiastic, "Holiday!!!", making it clear that a long-awaited vacation is at the top of his to-do list for 2026.
Juggling Two Worlds: From 'Sunny' to 'Cocktail' Vibes
Shahid has had one of the busiest calendars in recent times. Having just received rave reviews for his explosive performance in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘O Romeo’ alongside Triptii Dimri, the actor has been constantly on the move.
Cocktail 2: Shahid recently wrapped up the shoot for this Maddock Films sequel, directed by Homi Adajania. He will be sharing the screen with Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. Buzz is that the film explores a modern love triangle with a "bold twist" regarding the female leads' relationship.
Farzi 2: The actor is now diving back into the world of counterfeit currency as Sunny. Directed by Raj & DK, the second season of the hit Prime Video series is currently in progress, with filming expected to conclude in the coming months.
The Need for a 'Reset'
Known for his immersive acting style, Shahid admitted that switching between such contrasting characters—the dark, gritty Sunny and the light-hearted romantic lead in Cocktail 2—takes a mental toll.
"I enjoy switching worlds; it helps reset you as an actor," Shahid recently shared. However, it seems the "reset" this time will involve some sun, sand, and quality time with his family, Mira Kapoor and their children, rather than a movie set.
Future Projects on the Horizon
While the "Holiday" is the immediate priority, Shahid isn't leaving his fans in the dark for too long. Post-break, the actor is linked to several high-profile projects, including:
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Biopic: A massive historical project.
Ashwatthama: The Saga Continues: A mythological action-thriller.
Untiled Project with Atlee: Rumors suggest a high-octane collaboration with the Jawan director.
For now, the actor is focusing on delivering two of the year’s most anticipated sequels before heading off to recharge his batteries. As they say in Bollywood, a rested "Kabir Singh" is a more dangerous "Kabir Singh" at the box office!
