Charles-Camilla wedding a 'royal flop' for TV viewers
The nuptials of Britain's Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles only drew 7.6 million television viewers in the UK - compared to the 30 million Brits who had watched his first marriage to Princess Diana.

More people tuned in to watch the BBC's coverage of the Grand National horseracing, which came after the wedding of the heir-to-the-throne and his former mistress in Windsor, England, the Internet Media Database reported.

An average of 6.2 million viewers watched the civil ceremony in Windsor's Guildhall, while the star-studded blessing at St George's Chapel acquired another 1.4 million royalists, bringing the total to 7.6 million.

The Grand National attracted 9.5 million viewers.

The first marriage of the Prince of Wales to Lady Diana in July 1981 attracted 750 million viewers worldwide.
