Jules Avery, the director of last year's underrated action-thriller flick 'Overlord' is bringing out big guns for his upcoming project. The Australian filmmaker has recruited none other than Sylvester 'Rambo' Stallone for his new movie.
Jules Avery will direct Stallone in a superhero-centric thriller 'Samaritan.' It is the story of a young boy who sets out to investigate the disappearance of a mythic superhero, who vanished 20 years earlier following a tragic event. The boy looks to find out if this superhero is still alive and kicking.
On the opportunity of working with Stallone, Avery has said, `Sly is a hero of mine, I'm incredibly thrilled to be working with such an iconic actor on this very special project with Balboa Productions and MGM.`
Avery will be directing Bragi F Schut's screenplay, with Bragi also serving as a producer along with Braden Aftergood from Balboa Productions. Stallone will also serve as an executive producer aside from starring in this project. Stallone currently returns as John Rambo in 'Rambo: Last Rambo' which has already amassed almost $30 million worldwide.
