Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are back in the US after recovering from coronavirus
Hollywood biggies Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson had tested positive for the novel Coronavirus earlier this month while in Australia. They went into self-quarantine as soon as they tested positive in Australia itself. Now, they have returned to the US after recovering from the contagion.

Hanks had been doing pre-production work on Elvis Presley's biopic and production was suspended as soon as he tested positive. Hanks is set to play Presley's manager, Colonel Tom Parker, in the film, directed by Baz Luhrmann. The couple, both 63, had shared their experience in isolation, offered advice to those sheltering in place and Wilson even rapped to the 1992 hip hop hit "Hip Hop Hooray" by the rap group Naughty by Nature. Hanks took to Twitter to announce their return, thank fans and express their gratitude:

They were both photographed driving around Los Angeles, where they live, on Friday. News of their return to Los Angeles comes nearly two weeks after they were both released from the hospital in Australia. The couple had been posting updates about their recovery on social media in an effort to reach fans who may be feeling anxious in the midst of the pandemic. It will take a while but we will get through this pandemic. Stay indoors, stay safe, wash your hands and keep practicing social distancing.
