Two Boston Police officers are murdered, ex-cop Spenser (Mark Wahlberg) teams up with his no-nonsense roommate, Hawk (Winston Duke). He then returns to Boston's criminal underworld to unravel a twisted murder conspiracy and to take down criminals in this action-comedy.

Spenser Confidential is an upcoming 2020 American mystery film directed by Peter Berg and with a screenplay by Sean O'Keefe and Brian Helgeland. It is very loosely based on the novel Wonderland by Ace Atkins, and uses the names of characters created by Robert B. Parker.
