Guess who is Ranbir Kapoor's newest pretty young thing? Its none other than the Southern siren Ileana D'Cruz. But don't get the wrong idea, the romance is strictly an onscreen one - at least, till now!
Ileana makes her Bollywood debut opposite Ranbir in Anurag Basu's Barfi.
Ileana D'Cruz is new to the Hindi film industry but she's a sensation down south.
She debuted in the Telugu language film Devadasu in 2006 directed by Y.V.S. Chowdhary.
She hit the silver screen by way of a Fair and Lovely commercial directed by Rakesh Roshan in which she was noticed by director Y V S Chowdhary. Devadasu was a box office success, though panned by critics.
Her next film, Pokiri opposite Mahesh Babu, is her biggest hit till date. Pokiri premiered at the 2006 International Indian Film Academy Awards.
Ileana made her Tamil debut in Kedi opposite Ravi Krishna. The movie flopped, but Ileana drew some praise. After Kedi, Ileana had never been busier and more offers than she could accept.
She has also taken the item number route with 'Ileana Ileana' in Kannada film Huduga Hudugi.
