Indian films pushed back due to Coronavirus
We know that the Coronavirus pandemic is a global crisis and so far, in addition to claiming over 8000 lives worldwide, it has adversely affected the film industry. Several films have been pushed back and others have been shut down mid-production. Here is a list of big-budget Indian films that have been pushed back indefinitely.

Master
This Vijay directorial is an upcoming Tamil language action-thriller film. It was initially scheduled for release on April 9th but now the film may not hit the theatres due to the complete closure of cinema halls across the country. An official announcement is yet to be made.

Jersey
This Shahid Kapoor starrer is a sports drama in which he plays a failed cricketer. It was scheduled to shoot in Chandigarh but now has its production has been shut down mid-way.

Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar
This Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra cannot catch a break! The film completed shooting in 2017 and has been getting stalled since. This is the fourth time that the film is delayed.

Marakkar
Lion of the Arabian Sea - This Priyadarshan directorial is the story of the legendary Kunjali Marakkar 4 and his epic warfare against the Portuguese. It has a whopping 100 crore budget and will release in four languages- Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Chinese. The film too has been delayed.

83 is the story of India's incredible world Cup victory in 1983. It is directed by Kabir Khan and stars Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev, the team captain, and Deepika Padukone as Romi Dev, his wife. Its initial release date of April 10 has been postponed.

This Anees Baazmee directorial and Kartik Aaryan starrer was set to hit the screens on July 31, but now owing to the pandemic it has been pushed further back.

This Akshay Kumar starrer is a historical action drama film produced by Aditya Chopra. It is about the life of the Chahamana king Prithviraj Chauhan and marks the debut of Miss World 2017, Manushi Chillar. The release was slated for November 13 but now it has been postponed indefinitely.

Takht is one of Karan Johar's most ambitious projects and maybe that is why he doesn't want this Coronavirus pandemic to affect its release. The film was slated for a 2021 release but now its pushed back. It is a period drama film produced by Dharma Productions and music by AR Rahman.

Your most wanted Bhai - This is Salman Khan's career's shortest film at 2 hours and 10 minutes and he recently cancelled an international schedule of the film. It is directed by Prabhudeva and also stars Disha Patani. The film was slated for an Eid release this year but now it has been pushed back.

Sooryavanshi
This Rohit Shetty directorial and Akshay Kumar starrer was to be released on March 24th but now has been postponed. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and has extended guest appearances by Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh reprising their roles of Singham and Simmba respectively from Shetty's cop Universe. The film released a long 4-minute trailer on 2nd March and received an excellent response.
