Mian Muhammad Iqbal, a resident of Baghbanpura in Lahore, filed the case in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Mehr Muhammad Yousaf.

Iqbal contended that Malik`s 'immoral' acts on the television show were reported in the Pakistani press and police should register a case against her. After hearing initial arguments, the court today sought a response from the chief of Shalimar police station by January 24.
