People in India are too touching that many got annoyed with the title of this movie. It apparently bothered the emotions of Hindus as the name was based on Hindu mythology. There was an FIR filed against director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and starrers, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh for the same.

Chhapaak
Before the release of Chhapaak, BJP supporters and leaders alike blamed the filmmakers for changing the name of the acid attack perpetrator from Muslim (Naeem Khan) to Hindu (Rajesh). Moreover, the movie got affected due to the visit of Deepika Padukone in JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University).

Padmaavat
The film became the biggest controversial during the production itself. As several Rajput caste organizations were opposed and later destroy the film sets, alleging that the film portrays Padmavati, a Rajput queen, in a bad light. They had also assaulted Bhansali on a film set. After which the title of the film got changed from Padmaavati to Padmaavat.
