Whenever we talk about the South Indian film industry, the one thing that strikes our mind is the huge scale of filmmaking, over the top flight scenes, and top-notch acting by the south actors. With time, South Indian films always make sure to push the boundaries by exploring new markets beyond their home-ground. After the massive success of Bahubali and KGF, other South filmmakers are also releasing their films in Hindi and announcing their PAN Indian projects. Recently also Dharma Production and Puri Jagannadh came together for their next venture Liger featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday. So with this, let's have a look at the list of most awaited South Indian films that are releasing soon.

Kaadan
Kaadan features Rana Daggubati, Vishnu Vishal, Pulkit Samrat, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Zoya Hussain in the lead roles. The film was simultaneously shot in Hindi as Haathi Mere Saathi, in Telugu as Aranya. The film is scheduled to be released on 26 March 2021, as it was delayed from its initial release of 2 April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India.

Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham
Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, well known as Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea, is an upcoming Malayalam-language historical war film, helmed by Priyadarshan. Set in the 16th century, the film depicts the battle exploits of Kunjali Marakkar IV the naval admiral of the Samoothiri. It stars Mohanlal in the title role, alongside Arjun, Suniel Shetty, Prabhu, Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Mukesh. The film will hit the theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu languages on March 26, 2021.

Radhe Shyam
Radhe Shyam is a film written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar with Prabhas and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. Apart from Prabhas and Pooja, the film features Sachin Khedekar, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Bhagyashree Patwardhan, Murali Sharma, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sathyan Sivakumar in the key roles. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, the film is presented by Krishnam Raju under Gopi Krishna Movies and produced by UV Creations and T-Series.

Prashanth Neel's action-flick Salaar is being pitched as an Indian film and will most likely see its release in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. This film makes this film the official Kannada debut of Prabhas opposite Shruti Haasan.

Acharya Telugu-language epic historical action film directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Ram Charan and stars Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal while Charan is playing a crucial role. The film is scheduled to be released on 13 May 2021. The film's intriguing teaser has filled the audience with excitement and now they are waiting for it to hit the cinema halls.

Pushpa
Pushpa is a Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by Sukumar. It stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna while Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Dhananjay, Sunil, Harish Uthaman and Vennela Kishore play supporting roles. The film is scheduled to release on 13 August 2021 in Telugu along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada.

Drishyam 2
Drishyam 2 is a sequel to the 2013 film Drishyam and features Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil, reprising their roles from the first film. The film's plot will take place six years after the events of Drishyam. Originally, the makers planned for a theatrical release in January 2021, but the makers decided to release the film through the Amazon Prime Video streaming service.

KGF Chapter 2
'K.G.F: Chapter 2' is an upcoming multi-lingual Pan-India project directed by Prashanth Neel. A sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1, the film stars Yash in the lead reprising his role from the first film and Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist Adheera. The film was supposed to hit the theatres in October 2020, however, it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Sanjay Dutt's health issues. The film will be dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages and is expected to hit the theatres on July 16, 2021.

RRR
SS Rajamouli's much-awaited film, RRR (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram), features Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles. Where Jr NTR will portray the role of Komaram Bheem, on the other side, Ram Charan will play Alluri Sitarama Raju. Apart from them, Rajamouli has also roped international names like Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, and Ray Stevenson and Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. Aamir Khan will also give his voice for the Hindi dubbed version of RRR as narrator. The film is scheduled to release on October 13, 2021.
