    Speedy Singhs : Movie Review

It feels like Deja Vu of a cross cultural family drama surrounding a game of Ice-hockey. It can be summed up as a one-time watch, but it sure is clichéd and not very impactful.

    Our Rating: 2.5/5

  • Storyline

    Storyline

The story is the age old formula, where the protagonist (Vinay Virmani) wants to make a career in Ice Hockey and is extremely good at the sport. But his father Darvesh Singh (Anupam Kher) is a staunch Sardar and wants his son to manage his transport company.

Rajveer, in the desire to fit in the society that he lives in cuts off his hair in spite of being a Sikh, much to the anger and fury of his father.

  • Humour Aplenty

    Humour Aplenty

Apart from the melodrama, Speedy Singhs has it's funny moments. At certain points, it even looks like a Rom-Com. The movie evokes laughter throughout and has good enough resons to keep the audiences glued to their seats.

Anupam Kher - does his part well but he was a waste of talent
    Rob Lowe - efficient
Gurpreet Ghuggi – at his charming best

Akshay Kumar - he makes a special appearance as himself

  • Music

    Music

Sandeep Chowta's music is just okay and doesn't do much for the movie . But RDB's Sheran di kaum Punjabi is rocking and gives the movie a signature tune of sorts.
