    The stage was now set for the Return of the mega star to the big screen once again. He even went on to host the second, fourth and the current season of KBC.

    Amitabh was born in Alahabad. His father, Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a well-known Hindi poet, while his mother, Teji Bachchan was a Sikh-Punjabi from Faisalabad .

    He was originally christened Inquilaab. But later, Harivansh Rai changed the name to Amitabh which means, 'the light that would never go off.'

    He married a very successful actress Jaya Bhaduri. They have two children, Shweta Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan.

    While his daughter is married to a businessman in New Delhi and did not venture into films. Abhishek became an actor and is married to actress and Ex Miss World Aishwarya Rai.

    Amitabh is soon going to be a Grand Paa as Abhishek and Aishwarya are expecting their first child in Novemeber this year.
