Here's a lowdown of the biggest news from Bollywood that set the tongues wagging in 2011.
An American porn star in an Indian reality show - Bigg Boss! The news was jaw-dropping enough, until Mahesh Bhatt - known for making the boldest films - signed her up for a sequel to his 2003 super hit Jism.
It has certainly given a topic of gossip to all the industrywallahs, doing haaaww and OMG at having a real life porn star in an Indian flick !
Aishwarya's pregnancy news (which cost a lot to Madhur Bhandarkar) came as big suprise to the industry and juntaa. Post that, media could not stop clicking Aishwarya and commenting on her maternity looks.
But once the much talked about Bay-B and the 9th Bachchan arrived, everyone is talking about the little one, without even seeing her.
Well, the daughter seems to be a bigger celebrity than her dad already(pun intended).
Vidya Balan certainly knows how to push the envelope. Paa and No One Killed Jessica were being considered her finest works. But she did not rest on her laurels and stunned everyone by playing the role of soft porn southern actress Silk Smitha in her biopic The Dirty Picture.
By the way, after watching the movie, the tongues are wagging even more!
Trouble in this paradise, was least expected. The most steady going couple of Bollywood, John Abrahan amd Bipasha Basu broke up this year after dating each other for 8 years! From the various interviews given by them, separately, we gather the split was bitter.
But two seem to have found solace at other places already. John is said to be dating a banker Priya Marwah and Bipsha, her Dum Maro Dum co-star Rana Daggubatti.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious project Bajirao Mastani, which he's been wanting to make since 2003, will finally go on floors with Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh Khan.
The movie was originally meant for ex-lovers Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan. Sanjay will now have to recreate Devdas magic if not that of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
There was speculation if these two will actually ever get married. But the big news came this year that, much in love, Saif and Kareena will tie the knot early next year, after release of Saif's production Agent Vinod.
And media ofcourse, has been trying to get all possible details about the wedding - from the designer who'll design the Lehanga to the diamong ring that Saifu, apparently, bought.
Another story that kept the birdies busy was when Minnisha Lamba and Bipasha Basu were detained at Airport by customs officials for, apparently, carrying undeclared jewellery worth Lakhs of rupees.
Although they were released after paying a hefty fine, but that was enough to become talk-of-(B)town.
