This great friendship turned sour when Salman was arrested for killing rare Black Buck during the shooting of Rajshree productions' Hum Saath Saath Hain. The Barjatiya's were principally against the whole thing, so they parted ways.

Post the split, Rajshree Productions attempted to restore the character of 'Prem' through movies like Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, Vivah and Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi. But none of them came close even to Salman's portrayal of Prem.

Salman Khan is apparently done with action comedies and wants to go back to love stories.
'Salman wanted Sooraj to make a love story since that was his forte. Also, Salman told him that he has been doing too many action films of late, including the ones he is still shooting for, and now wants a break. Sooraj agreed to make a simple sweet romantic film with Salman,' says the source.
