Bollywood's Tryst With Time Travel

With series of recent cine flicks clad in the time travel robe it looks like 'Time Travel' genre is the next big thing for cine sorcerers.

BO stats of some of the past releases knitted in the time travel lanyard shows that, so far none of the movies having time travel as theme have succeeded in impressing the cine bonkers.

So with the latest upcoming release Teri Meri Kahani showcasing the time travel spice it will be interesting to see, if it can vitalize the crawling time travel fascination or not.
Teri Meri Kahani

Shahid and Priyanka starrer Teri Meri Kahani is reportedly a remake of Taiwanese cine flick Three Times. In the movie ex-flames Priyanka and Shahid will again be seen together after Kaminey.

The premise of the movie is set between 1910, 1960, and 2012, where each character will be seen playing a different role in each time period.
Lootera

Another cine saga threaded in the time travel lanyard which is expected to hit the celluloid is, Ranvir Singh and Sonkashi starrer Lootera.

Reportedly Lootera is a period love story with its plot rooted in 1950s era.
Dangerous Ishq

Vikram Bhatt's past life regression saga Dangerous Ishq, which was also tagged as comeback vehicle of Karishma, had its plot streched across five centuries, where Lolo and Rajneesh Duggal were seen depicting the era specific characters.

But, in spite of so much hype the movie met with a disastrous fate and completely failed in appealing the fans.
Action Replayy

Vipul Shah directed Action Replayy was reportedly a remake of 1985 Hollywood blockbuster Back to the Future starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.

For the movie Akki and Aish traveled across the retro culture but in spite of that, movie completely failed in emerging as a crowd puller.
Love Story 2050

Another time travel saga which failed in leaving any traces on the BO is, Priyanka and Harman Baweja starrer Love Story 2050.

Love Story 2050 was even tagged as a trade disaster because it could not even retrieve the cost of its budget.
