It looks like as the persons rises up in social hierarchy, he learns to become careless about his moral duties toward the national emblems. And some of the recent scurrilous acts of our celebs of bruising the national honor, are a few conspicuous examples of this.
So let's have a look at some of the incidents, which exhibits the onset of vanishing sense of patriotism among our celebs. -
Shah Rukh Khan
This Khan titan is known for his lively attitude toward life, but this time SRK's sporty attitude has landed him in another controversy, where an FIR has been filed against him for dishonouring the tricolour.
Reportedly the basis of the complaint roots back to India's World Cup victory, post which Khan drove his car from Mannat, carrying the flag upside down which didn't go down well with a Pune based social worker, who lodged a complaint against King Khan for this devastating negligence. -
Gehna Vashisht
Well we may give SRK's act a benefit of doubt, but what about this upcoming starlet Gehna Vashisht who crossed all her limits and did a photo shoot for her fans in 65 different colourful bikinis for India's 65th Independence Day.
In the photo shoot Gehna donned a bikini made up of Indian tricolor. Later on Gehna was also arrested by the Police on the complaint of Ravindra Bramhe in July this year. -
Mandira Bedi
There use to be an era, when the modest avatar of this small screen 'Shanti' use to fetch tons of accolades for Mandira. But ever since her stepping in the sports arena as commentator she has turned into one of the dearest child of controversies.
Mandy had so many rendezvous with controversies, for insulting the national flag and religious symbols, but one of the loudest one was during 2007 world cup final, where she donned a Sari which had an image of the Indian Tricolour below her waist, which was against the constitutional norm. -
Sania Mirza
After fetching the ire of of orthodox Muslim groups who objected to her skimpy tennis outfits, Sania became a source of wrath for general masses also, when she was alleged of disrespecting the national Tricolour by putting her feet towards the flag during a function.
Later on, this tennis sensation once again got into the claws of controversy, for resting her feet on a guitar painted in the tricolour while posing as a model for an International company. -
Sachin Tendulkar
In 2010 even the master blaster Sachin landed up in a controversy pertaining to the insult of national flag when a complaint was filed against him for cutting a cake decorated with the colours of the national flag at Jamaica on March 10, 2010.
