Ek Tha Tiger Vs Jab Tak Hai Jaan
With Salman taking a dig at SRK by stating, 'Pathan Ke Dost Se Panga Mat Lena, Sorry Yaar Diwali Bekaar Bina Son of Sardaar' on twitter, the bitter rivalry of these two celluloid titans has once again come out in open.
On one hand where cine trade analysts are getting speculative about the clash of Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardaar this Diwali, there is another sect of showbiz observers who are more concerned about Jab TaK Hai Jaan's comparison with Ek Tha Tiger because of arch rivals being the leading male of the two cine flicks.
So let's have a look at some of the facts pertaining to these two cine flicks in order to ascertain the success prospects of the two to emerge as BO Rocker of the year.
-
On Release Screen Occupancy
Though SRK's Jab Tak Hai Jaan has managed to outmaneuver Son of Sardaar in tug of war over screen blocking issue, but as far as its competition with Ek Tha Tiger is concerned then Jab Tak Hai Jaan has lost to Salman's BO rocker, which was released on 1700 screens, whereas Jab Tak Hai Jaan has got just 1500 screens.
So on the very first battle front Dabangg Khan is way ahead of Badshaah Khan.

Opening Battle
Call it the fear of Salman's popularity or whatever you feel like, but when Sallu Miya's Ek Tha Tiger was released on August 15th, it was the sole release of the day, with no competition from any parallel release.
Whereas contrary to this SRK's Jab Tak Hai Jaan is going to face an 'On Release Clash' with another awaited cine flick of the year Son of Sardaar starring Ajay Devgn.
-
Extended Weekend Boost
Salman once again proved his dexterity in picking up the release date for Ek Tha Tiger, followed by an extended weekend of 3 days which thoroughly boosted the commercial potential of the movie.
On the other hand inspite of its being a festive season Jab Tak Hai Jaan is not followed by any such commercial catalyst which can do some miracle for it.
-
USP
Though SRK is the lover boy of the tinsel town, but inspite of that there are no doubts about the fact that when it comes to fan following then Sallu Miya is miles ahead of SRK.
And as far as USP of the Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Ek Tha Tiger is concerned then for latter it was onscreen titan Salman who pulled the movie alone, but in case of Jab Tak Hai Jaan, it's going to be the legacy of cine maestro late Yash Chopra which may emerge as the USP for the movie.
-
Threat From Talaash
Besides Ajay there is another tinsel town titan who is somewhat a threat for SRK's over hyped cine cantata and that is Aamir, whose much talked about cine venture Talaash is going to hit the celluloid after a fortnight of Jab Tak Hai Jaan's release.
Whereas for Ek Tha Tiger there no massive release scheduled to pose a threat to the business of the movie for almost a month. And it was only Shirin Farhaad Ki Toh Nikal Padi and Joker which followed ETT release, but could not succeed in challenging Tiger's roar.

Peek into Past
Now coming to the past records of SRK and Salman, which clearly showcases a huge difference between the success rate of the two.
As compared to cine kitty of Salman comprising of flicks like Bodyguard, Dabangg which made it to 100 Cr club with quite an ease SRK's BO credentials don't seem to be too impressive, where all his last releases succeeded in fetching only a mixed response from the audience.
