Undoubtedly, since their evolution social networking platforms have emerged as communication lifeline for netizens as well as for the celebs who prefer to share every bit of information pertaining to them on these micro blogging sites.

But simultaneously these communication mediums have also become a notoriety platform for some of the mischievous elements, who don't mind sparking fake buzz about our tinsel town natives.

So here are some of the celebs, who fell prey to these fake news chunks.

Pran's Demise

Very recently, the celeb who got grabbed in the claws of hoax buzz is veteran actor Pran, who was not keeping well from past few days. Soon after Pran's hospitalisation buzz pertaining to his deteriorating health started making it to social networking platforms subsequently leading to a hoax news about his demise.

But with in no time of cracking of this fake buzz, doctors attending the veteran actor informed media about his hale and hearty status.

Amitabh Bachchan Car Crash Hoax

Despite his sky scrapping global repute, even the Shanshaah of Bollywood could not protect himself from the notorious psyche of mischievous elements, who tossed the rumor of his death in June this year.

Fake report about Big B stated that, 'Amitabh Bachchan died in a vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident'.

Luckily the buzz turned out to be fake giving a sigh of releif to millions of Big B fans.

Manisha Koirala Death Hoax

Even the actress Manisha Koirala had a rendezvous with fake death when news about her demise made it to net in 2010.

Kareena Kapoor's Pregnancy Buzz

It won't be wrong to say that the thumb rule which governs the glamour aisles is 'one's proneness to fake buzz is directly proportional to the amount of lime light that the person has'.

And the fact once again became conspicuous, when some of the shutterbugs succeeded in capturing Kareena's puffed belly pics while coming out of Mumbai airport. And soon after the fake buzz that followed was about Bebo's pre marital pregnancy.

Desi girl of tinsel town Sonakshi too had to face the situation similar to that of Vidya, when buzz pertaining to her donning a bikini flashed on the net along with a fake pic of this shotgun doll.

Arbaaz-Malaika Divorce Hoax

Another marvelously knitted hoax buzz that made it to net was about our very own Munni and her divorce with hubby Arbaaz, the news sparked in 2008.

And we called it marvelously knitted, because very much like a movie script this hoax buzz had a well brewed story propounding the tale of a successful wife and not so successful husband.

Just like other fake chunks this too turned out to be a fake tale.
