Reita Faria - Miss World (1966)
It all started with Reita Faria, who for the first time brought the glory to India in 1966. Reita made it to International stage after winning Miss Bombay crown earlier that year and later on won the Eve's Weekly Miss India contest.
Unlike her successors, Reita after completing her one year tenure as Miss World, refused to go ahead with modeling and films and instead preferred to concentrate on her medical studies. -
Sushmita Sen - Miss Universe (1994)
By her striking personality and charming attitude, Sushmita left millions of people spellbound in 1994, when she turned into first Indian diva to win the Miss Universe title.
