    And besides that star-cast of these content driven movies also deserve tons of accolades for performing on such tough themes with utmost dexterity.

    So for showing their acting adroitness in Paan Singh Tomar and Gangs of Wasseypur, Irrfan Khan and Richa Chadda were decorated with Best Actors award (Critics) by Filmfare.

    Well as far as best debutant male category is concerned then very few persons had have carried any doubts so far, because ever since the release of Vicky Donor people started seeing Ayushmann as an eligible contender for Best Debutant (Male) award.

    Unlike male debutant category, female league had an entire brigade of hotties who were competing against each other, but ultimately it was Ileana D'Cruz who had the last laugh.

    It won't be wrong to say that amid a diverse spectrum of cine flicks it was a neck to neck competition among various movies to emerge as best cine delight of the year.

    But ultimately it was Anuraag Basu's Barfi which succeeded in mesmerizing the masses by its sweetness and emerged as best under Best Film (Popular) category.

    Best Film (Critics): Gangs of Wasseypur

    Another content driven cine cantata which stormed the cine aisles in 2012 was Anurag Kashyaps Gangs of Wasseypur. At Filmfare awards this action packed near to life saga succeeded in securing the award for Best Film (Critics ) category.

    Besides movies like Barfi and Paan Singh Tomar another movie which emerged as one of the eligible contender of best movie league was Sujoy Ghosh directed Kahaani.

    Though the movie got outmaneuvered by Barfi in that league, but inspite of that it managed to fetch respect for Sujoy Ghosh who is adjudged as the Best Director for adroitly showcasing the theme of Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani.

    Best Playback Singer (Female): Shalmali Kholgade (Pareshaan from Ishaqzaade)

    In female playback singer's league it's Shalmali Kholgade's Pareshan song from cine flick Ishazaade which has brought glory for the singer.

    Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Annu Kapoor for Vicky Donor

    Though late but finally Annu Kapoor's onscreen excellenc is recognized. At 58th Filmafare awards Annu is adjudged as Best Actor in Supporting Role for his hileraious yet touchy performance as Dr Chadha in cine flick Vicky Donor.

    Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Anushka Sharma for Jab Tak Hai Jaan

    Inspite of not making it to Best actress' league this time, sizzling Anushka has once again succeeded in proving her mettle and fetched Best Actress in supporting role award for her bubbly performance in Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

    Best Music Director

    There are no doubts about the fact that everything about Ranbir and Priyanka Chopra starrer Barfi was extremely mesmerizing and even its music is not an exception to the rule.
    So for its soothing appeal, music of Barfi fetched Best music Director award for Pritam.
