Too much WhatsApping can lead to 'WhatsAppitis'
Prolonged use of the instant messaging system on smartphones can lead to a new disorder called 'WhatsAppitis'.

According to a doctor of Granada's General University hospital, one of her 34-year-old pregnant patient was suffering from the disorder and experienced sudden pain in both wrists after waking up in the morning, the Guardian reported.

Ines Fernandez-Guerrero, who advised fellow physicians to be "mindful" of the injuries, said that the patient "had no history of trauma and had not engaged in any excessive physical activity in previous days".

According to the doctor, the patient was on her phone for 6 hours, during which she "made continuous movements with both thumbs to send messages.
