Zhong Shanshan Overtakes Mukesh Ambani To Become Asia's richest Person
Zhong Shanshan, China's top businessman who became a private billionaire over the years, on Thursday becomes Asia's richest person with a worth of nearly $77.8 billion.

As per the Bloomberg assessment, Zhong, 66, a bottled water and vaccine tycoon, is the 11th richest person on the planet. Coming from the professions of journalism, mushroom farming and health care, Zhong has surpassed India's Mukesh Ambani and other groups of Chinese tech titans including Jack Ma.

Shanshan's business witnessed a hike from $70.9 billion to $77.8 billion this year overtaking Chinese philanthropist and businessman Jack Ma by over $2billion. It has been stated as one of the fastest accumulation of wealth. "It's one of the fastest accumulations of wealth in history," said the report.

Ambani has also had a spectacular year, striking deals to transform his business Reliance Industries Ltd. into a technology and e-commerce titan -- and seeing his fortune surge $18.3 billion to $76.9 billion. Well, there was a time when Ambani enjoyed the tag of world's fourth-richest person, however, shares of his Reliance have stalled as he comes under pressure to deliver on the digital transformation he's promised.

Zhong is popularly known as the 'lone wolf' as the businessman is neither involved in politics nor he has links with other rich families such as property tycoons.

Talking about his most successful businesses, Zhong's bottled water company Nongfu Spring Co is Hong Kong's most popular among retail investors and is headquartered in Hangzhou in China's Zhejiang province and he took vaccine maker Beijing Wantai Biological Pharmacy Enterprise Co. public in April.

Zhong has truly become an inspiration for the entire world by receiving the honour for his impeccable hard work and efforts. He is a school dropout and has worked as a construction worker, a newspaper reporter and a beverage sales agent before starting his own business.
