Lilly had previously praised the pop star, Rihanna, for her encouragement of farmers who have been opposing the three controversial Agri laws for over three months. Lilly has previously made many appeals to her followers to become aware of the current protest in India.
Apart from her, Greta Thunberg, Susan Sarandon, Meena Harris, and niece of US Vice President Kamala Harris, actress Amanda Cerni, singers Jay Sean, Dr. Zeus, and Mia Khalifa have all voiced their support for the protesting farmers.
It's unfortunate to say that the demonstration is still going on, but facts and coverage about it have been scarce.
