On Friday, Khan got his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. On the same day, he was given the first dose of the vaccine, he allegedly developed Covid-19 symptoms.
The prime minister had advised his country's people to ensure that all regulations are enforced to avoid a spike in coronavirus cases. He received his vaccine as part of the first wave of a national anti-coronavirus vaccination programme.
In Pakistan, people aged 60 and above, as well as front-line health staff, are given the COVID-19 vaccine.
Pakistan also implemented smart lockdowns in areas hardest hit by the coronavirus on Thursday, following a dramatic rise in positive cases across the region. The spike in cases coincided with the delivery in Pakistan on Wednesday of the second shipment of 500,000 Sinopharm vaccines shipped by China. Pakistani authorities announced last week that the world had been struck by the pandemic's third round.
In areas under smart lockout, all stores, shopping centres, offices, and restaurants will be closed. Grocery markets, hospitals, supermarkets, bakeries, and meat and milk shops, on the other hand, would be permitted to stay open.
Smart lockdowns have been placed in Gujrat, Sialkot, and Hafizabad, according to Punjab province Health Minister Yasmin Rashid. They will last until March 30 in Gujrat, March 24 in Sialkot, and March 26 in Hafizabad.
