The couple have held emotionally-charged long-distance telephone conversations and are to spend some “quality time” in Los Angeles — where else? — ending their two-month separation.
It was Justin who initiated the reconciliation. He made a pleading call to Britney last week to try to win her back. He initially rang her to apologise about comments he made to a fellow passenger on a long-distance flight.
The man met Justin on an internal US flight and said the singer told him Britney was definitely NOT a virgin. Now Britney has accepted his apology and is ready to start again.
A pal of her’s said: “I think it is safe to say they are an item again after a hiccup in their relationship.
“A lot of things have been said about them individually since the split and it has been upsetting. They just want to meet up, spend a little quality time together and get on with what they do best - loving each other.”
The pair will be reunited this week when Britney flies into LA to shoot a video with Austin Powers star Mike Myers.
They plan to take some time to get to know each other again out of the public eye.
Both stars’ mothers have always maintained that their celebrity children have never fallen out of love and were just going through a bad patch.
