My neighbourer’s chacha ji is staying in village. He is sarpanch. When he is coming to know about Tsunaamian di haalat, he is not thinking two times. He is telling all villages nearby- “Oy, saare ghar 100 makki dian rotian, te 5-5 kilo saag tyar karo. Saath assi levange Rajma, te chalo Tsunami!”
They are loading all this foodstuff in one train and going theyer. They are thinking of lagoing laangar somewheyer and giving some good Punjabi food to those peoples. When they will be eating Saag te makki di rotian, how much they are enjoying and being happy, no?
Shoki Paaji is also going off! He is daily telephoning his PA for collecting donations from all the rich business mans in Chandigarh te Ludhiana and sending him. He is wanting to buy boats for tsunami fishermans theyer so that they are abling to catch fishes again. (Vaise, Amritsar di fried fish da koi jawaab nahin). He is telling all peoples to give donations library! Then he will put theyer names on fishermans boats. Good na? Theyer publicity will be on high seas also! My He is also giving money to Shoki Paaji. I am telling him that make sure his name is first on list of names on boat.
When Shoki Paaji is coming back, he is telling all about good-good beaches in South and telling that agle saalhe’ll plan holiday for all of us theyer.
Vaise, don’t think I’m not doing donation. In Lovely and Prince’s schoolteachers are aksing for ‘Help Tsunami’. I am opening all trunks and taking out many clothes for the Tsunamis. Bachayan de garam kapde, apne sweater te salwaaran-kameezan, ehna de coat te jaktan! Even the good-good ones I’m giving. Sardiyan wich kam aongeTsunamian de! And over theyer they are having so much seawater also- thand horvi lagdi hai.
Sulochna is telling that Bollywood is doing ‘Help Tsunami’ concert. Sanju Baba is organizing it. I am getting too much excited and telling my He- “Lets go na, lets go na!”
My He is saying, “You are crazy or what? How I can leave everything and go to Mumbai? Fillum staran nu vekhan da inna hi shauk hai te DVD wich 3 picturan vekh lai!”I’m telling him he has never understood me. “Main tan Tsunamian di help karan lai Mumbai jaona chaondi si! Bas mera te ahi maqsad si.”
Anyway, even if I am not going, I’m getting all prepared on Sunday to help the Tsunamis by seeing TV all evening. “I’m watching hole show- however much late it is getting,”
I’m telling my He. “It is bestest way of helping Tsunamis and being solid. Amitji is telling that we should be solid with Tsunamis!”
Show is being too much good. Songs, dance- everything is being theyer by top stars. It’s being much better than Fillumfare show. All viewers are having to SMS and donate 10 rupees for Tsunamis from theyer mobiles only! I am sitting with mobile in hand. When my favourite peoples are saying ‘donate, donate’, I am doing SMS.
When Sanju Baba is singing “Saki” I’m getting too much excited and SMSing 6 times. For Aishwarya I’m SMSing 3 times and when Amitji and Abhishekh baby are doing too good number, I’m not taking my finger off the SMS only.
At last, I’m having “Hands-on” experience of helping Tsunamis. My dil is doing dhak dhak to think that when my He is seeing mobile bill, he is doing ‘hands off’ to me.
