Destiny's Child have cancelled the Australian leg of their world tour because of the world political situation.

But they have assured British fans their UK dates are still on.

The tour kicks off in the UK at Sheffield Arena on November 10.

Beyonce Knowles told Worldpop.com: "We're always excited when we perform for our fans in Australia.

"Postponing these shows was the hardest thing for us, because we truly enjoy the fans. We made that decision the very last second after taking a hard look at the state of the world right now.

"We look forward to rescheduling the shows and we pray for a quick end to the fighting and a return to peaceful times."
