Kylie Minogue is celebrating another accolade after being named the Style Icon of the year.

The singer, whose single and new album are currently topping the charts, was awarded the prize at the Elle Style awards.

Also among the winners were Cat Deeley, Hugh Grant, Sophie Dahl and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

The ceremony, which took place at Park Lane Hotel in London, was due to be held last month but were postponed in the aftermath of the US terrorist attacks in New York and Washington.

Deeley won the most stylish look award, Grant won the accolade of most stylish actor, Dahl was awarded the most stylish model award while Ellis-Bextor was voted the most stylish music star.

Readers of Elle magazine and The Daily Telegraph voted for the winners.
