More than a hundred German shoppers besieged a shop wearing nothing but underwear.
The stampede in the town of Heide came after a store owner offered to give free jeans to the first 100 people who showed up without trousers or shirts.
Those who turned up too late to grab jeans received free T-shirts.
"They took away 15,000 Marks (£4,700) worth of jeans in less than six minutes," store owner Heinz-Dieter Opalla told the Schleswig-Holsteinischer newspaper.
