Rinkoo bhabiji is ringing just when she is coming back: “Hello Preeto, main Rinkoo bhabi bol rehi han.”
I’m getting happy they are coming back. I am missing morning gossipings with Rinkoo bhabiji.
“Kadon aaye tussi?” I am aksing.
“Kal aa gaye si par too much jat lag is happening, na, so I am not abling to phone you. But we are thinking to come to your house today and doing gup-shup.”
“Welcome, Welcome!” I am saying.
“Yes, when we were in America na, we are missing evenings with you peoples.”
So you are having some khas farmaish for khana?” I am aksing.
“When we were in America na, we are eating too much pizza-burger. Hun tan ghar da kukkar hi khana hai assi.”
I am aksing my He, “What exactly this JAT LAG is being? All peoples who are coming from America are having this jat lag.”
“O- tannoo jat lag nahin pata” My he is aksing. “If you are having jat lag you are wanting whiskey when its time for bed tea and when its time for going to office, you are wanting to do masti-shasti”
“But then you must be having jat lag all the time” I am saying.
In evening Rinkoo Bhabiji and Shoki Paaji are coming. “Hai main mar gayi! Rinkoo bhabiji is wearing fur da coat!
“I’m buying new from America—nice na?” she is saying.
“Very nice, but it’s being little hot in September, no?” I am aksing. “This is American coat na, so it’s not being hot,” Bhabiji is saying. Anyway, we are coming in AC car and sitting in AC room”.
“Vaise, in America na, all houses are fully AC” Shoki Paaji is telling.
“When we were in America na, we are eating so much popcorn, ice-cream — I can’t tell you,” Bhabiji is saying.
“Many many flavours are being theyer in America. Not like 20-30 in India,” Shoki Paaji is saying.
“When we were in America na, we are also going to Disneyland. What big-big rides are being theyer! Ithe te amusement parks te kuch vi nahin.”
Whole evening we are hearing only America-America America. I am thinking how peoples are show offing! What type of proudy behaviour this is being. America na ho gaya, jannat ho gayi!
Finally Shoki Paaji and Bhabiji are going. Minute they are leaving; I’m turning to my He and telling: “Main vi America jaana hai!”
