Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles.

According to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Gerber died on Sunday, September 20. A cause of death has not yet been determined, and further details are expected following the medical examiner's investigation.

The death was confirmed by Allie Jenkins, a representative for the Gerber family. In a statement, the family requested privacy as they mourned the loss.

“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” the representative said.

Presley Gerber’s Modelling Career
Born in 1999, Presley was the elder child of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber and the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber.

He entered the fashion industry at a young age after signing with IMG Models at 15. He made his runway debut at Moschino's 2016 Los Angeles resort show and subsequently worked with several major fashion brands, including Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana and Celine.

In 2018, Presley appeared alongside his mother in a recreation of Crawford's iconic 1992 Pepsi advertisement for the Super Bowl. He also worked with his sister Kaia on fashion campaigns.

Presley Had Spoken About Mental Health and Addiction
In recent years, Gerber had publicly discussed his experiences with mental health and substance-use problems. He used social media to speak about depression, panic attacks and his efforts to seek treatment.

His struggles had also been discussed publicly by Kaia Gerber. In an interview with Vogue published in August 2026, she spoke about her brother's long-running battle with addiction and described how it had affected their family.

Gerber had also previously faced legal trouble. In 2019, he was arrested on a DUI charge in Beverly Hills and was subsequently sentenced to probation and required to complete a DUI programme and community service.
