Forbes India's Top 10 Celebs

Though popularity and fan following is one of the top notch metronome to gauge the repute of a celebrity, but nowadays besides that, it's the financial status of the celeb which too has started contributing to the gauging of any celeb's social standing.

Recently, Forbes India has come up with one such survey, so have a look at top ten celebs who are leading the chart.

Shah Rukh Khan

With an annual earning of approximately 202.8 crore, between October 2011 and September 2012, SRK has topped the inaugural Forbes India Celebrity list.

Salman Khan

Undoubtedly, our very own Sallu Miyaa has got a fan following much larger that that of SRK, but here it's earning-power of King Khan which outmaneuvered Salman, who has to solace himself with second slot in the list.

MS Dhoni

Critics may find hundreds of shortcomings in him, but Dhoni seems to be totally unperturbed by it and so does his earning.

In the period staring from September 2011 to Oct 2012, this self made icon of Indian cricket garnered an income of Rs 135.16 crore and secured third position on Forbes' list.

Akshay Kumar

There are no apprehensions about the fact that 2012 had been a very successful year for Akki. With movies like Rowdy Rathore and Housefull-2 in his kitty, Akki became the fourth highest earning celebrity.

Amitabh Bachchan

Undoubtedly Big B is one such star of Indian cine galaxy who has not lost his refulgence even after his 40 year long cine jaunt in showbiz corridor.

The popularity of this star of the millennium is still no where less than any other cine sorcerer of Bollywood. Big B also makes it to the top 10 and got the fifth position.

Sachin Tendulkar

Call it critics pressure or voice of his conscious, Sachin finally said goodbye one day cricket.

But one thing which can't be denied about this God of Cricket is that fans will always miss the classy batting of master blaster whenever Team India is going clash with some tough opponents. In it's glossy celebrity list Forbes found Sachin eligible for the sixth position.

Kareena Kapoor

Virendra Sehwag

Though Viru is struggling with his form but inspite of that he has somehow managed to secure the 8th slot in Forbes list.

Virat Kohli

Rising star of Indian cricket arena Virat is the youngest celebrity in the top ten list of Forbes.

Thanks to his huge fan following and his brilliant batting style fattened his bunch of endorsements and entitled him for Forbes list where is cooling his heels at ninth position.

Katrina Kaif

Hopefully securing a tenth slot in Forbes list is not going to leave much impact on Kat's popularity in anyway.

And that's because by now she has already received a tag of Bollywood's lucky muscat whose mere cameo appearance is sufficient enough to make any movie a hit. Besides Bebo it's only Katrina who has succeeded in making it to top ten list of Forbes.
