The 2011 Pirelli Calendar Is Out

The latest Pirelli calendar, often described as a work of art, was unveiled in Moscow and was put together by designer Karl Lagerfeld with the pictures being taken in the Paris studio of Chanel earlier this year.

The black and white limited edition calendar has the theme of mythology and features Moore as Hera, the Greek goddess of marriage and for the first time also features men.

Hera

Julianne Moore, who turned 50 recently, posed as Hera - the Greek goddess of women and marriage, for Karl Lagerfeld's Pirelli 2011 calendar.

Artemis

Aphrodite

Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty, is portrayed by the Dutch model Lara Stone, the wife of British comedian David Walliams.

Adonis

French model Baptiste Giabiconi, and Lagerfeld muse, poses in a laurel and just a metal codpiece to protect his modesty

Athena

Austrian model Iris Strubegger is adorned with Greek symbols to portray Athena, goddess of war.

The calendar this year features Lara Stone, Bianca Balti, Freja Beha Erichsen, Isabeli Fontana, Magdenlena Frackowiak, Anja Rubik, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Lakshmi Menon, Heidi Mount, Erin Wasson, Natasha Poly, Daria Werbowy, Jeneil Williams and Iris Strubegger.
