Bollywood Songs That are Blatant Copies!

Bollywood Songs That are Blatant Copies!

Though our Bollywood filmmakers take inspirations from around the world to make their films and stories more approachable to world audience the music directors also cannot be left behind in this league. They also take inspiration from various artists. There are many Bollywood songs which are copied from around the world though it's not easy to point out when you listen to them for the first time when you dig deep you'll find the roots. Here we bring you Bollywood songs which are blatant copies. Take a look:

Dil Le Lena

Anu Malik is the prime accused of lifting tunes. The hit song 'Dil Le Le Lena' from not so hit film 'Auzaar' was copied from a Spanish song La Macarena by Los Del Rio, which was an international hit.

Bhool Bhullaiya

When we talk about lifting tunes or 'getting inspired' how we can forget Pritam. Pritam has been accused multiple times of plagiarism. The title track of Bollywood movie 'Bhool Bhullaiya' is directly taken from a Korean instrumental called My Lecon.

Pal Pal Har Pal

This soulful song from Lage Raho Munna Bhai is copied from a Cliff Richard's song. The music is directed by Shantanu Moitra. No matter how hummable this Bollywood song is, but we still feel like Bollywood should learn to give the credit where its due.

Dil Na Diya

The hit song from Bollywood blockbuster Krrish was 'inspired' from Ceddin Deden by Turkish Military March. The movie was a blockbuster hit at Box-Office and the song too was a chartbuster. Maybe music director Rajesh Roshan needed some inspiration this time.

Zara Zara Touch Me

The sizzling 'Zara Zara Touch Me' from Race starring the sensuous Katrina Kaif is also a copy of a song Deep In The Bamboo Grove by Taiwanese singer Lee-Hom Wang. If the movie crew can shoot abroad, why can't he simply lift a song from another continent? This 'touch me' act did cost Pritam dearly though with him and the music company being sued for damages.

Dhinka Chika

Not only the world music but our very own regional music has also attracted our mainstream Bollywood music director. For example, the song 'Dhinka Chika' from 2011 hit 'Ready' was inspired by Arya 2, a 2009 Telegu film starring Allu Arjun. The music of this movie was composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

Love Ki Ghanti

Ranbir Kapoor starrer comedy-masala 'Besharam' directed by Abhinav Kashyap who along with music director Lalit Pandit has been quite true to the name of the film. The song Love Ki Ghanti from the film is actually a copy of an Italian song Bella Ciao which in spirit, is based on a folk song.

Nashe Si Chad Gayi

We all loved the track and it's a perfect dance number but do you know it is copied too. The hit number from Befikre was copied from Jonjou Romantica OST's track. Music duo Vishal and Shekhar are truly presenting the World music to all.

Swag Se Swagat

Yes, even are shocked. A few days back when Salman - Katrina starrer 'Swag Se Swagat' was dropped, the internet went crazy dancing along and celebrating the song. But the catchy hook of this peppy tune we're all grooving to is not an original. Feels like the Vishal and Shekhar got a little too inspired from DJ Katch's track titled The Horns.
