Bollywood's Most Unusual Couples

Bollywood's Most Unusual Couples

Well it looks like gone are the days when cine flicks use to be a romantic tale knitted around youthful couples. Nowadays Bollywood's romanticism seems to be adopting a new trend, where age defying love stories are conceptualised in order to charm the masses.

So let's have a look at some of the unusual onscreen couples of tinsel town, who tried to offer offbeat piece of entertainment to the cine buffs.

Farah Khan and Boman Irani

The newest entrant to the league of Bollywood's unusual onscreen couples league is, choreographer turned actress Farah Khan and Boman Irani.

Farah and Boman are all set to offer tons of entertainment in their upcoming comedy flick Shirin Farhad Ki To Nikal Padi, where they will be seen as bubbly couple bitten by cupid.

Amitabh Bachchan and Jiah Khan

Amitabh is a legendary actor and is well-respected across the industry, but inspite of that Amitabh falls in the league of unusual onscreen couples for being casted opposite actress like Jia Khan (Nishabd) and Tabu (Cheeni Kum), who are younger to him by nearly four decades.

Naseeruddin Shah and Vidya

Though the age gap between Naseer and Vidya isn't as much as it was between our previous pair but still it is somewhat odd to go down well with the cine buffs.

One thing which can't be refuted about both these protagonists is that, they both belong to the league of actors who have proved their mettle in content driven movies like Ishqiya and The Dirty Picture.

But for the cine buffs who are quite habitual of seeing those sizzling couples, age gap of 28 years is something which falls on the odd end.

Rajnikanth Paired With Deepika Padukone

Well, in the movies where Rajnikant is in lead role, heroines are as good as fillers, but inspite of that Lord Rajni don't forget to make it a point, to come up with the most sought after hotty of tinsel town.

Earlier it was Aish in his last release Robot and this time, it's our very own leggy beauty Deepika who is signed for Rajni's upcoming cine flick Kochadaiyaan.

And what makes this casting bizarre is that Rajni is not just senior to DP, but he's five-years-older than her dad, Prakash Padukone as well.

Himesh Reshamiya and Hansika Motwani

Possibly for many, the onscreen pairing of Himesh Reshamiya and gorgeous Hansika is one of the oddest one that they would have ever seen. Where a middle aged balding actor was paired up with 15-year old budding hotty in the cine flick Aap Ka Suroor.

Anil Kapoor and Mallika

Though Anil do not belong to the league of hardcore veterans of Bollywood, but still he somewhat belong to the league of actors who are old enough to be coupled with actresses who are nearly half of his age.

Be it Bips, Mallika or Sameera Anil shared the screen with all of them and even succeeded in showcasing his 'jhackaas' acting skills in cine flicks like No Entry, Welcome and Race.
